I am an outspoken supporter of applying biotechnology to address food diversity, food security, and climate change. Only a few species make up most of the world’s food supply. We can promote food security and biodiversity by introducing new crops, while exploring plants more adapted to their environment and future climate scenarios. I strongly believe biotechnology and new breeding techniques are the best approach to address these issues with innovation.
